ഈ പശുവിന്റെ ഉയരം ആറ് അടി നാല് ഇഞ്ച് ഇല്ലിനോയിസ് (അമേരിക്ക):  ഇത് ബ്ലോസം. പതിമൂന്ന് വയസുള്ള ഈ പശു ഉയരത്തിന്റെ കാര്യത്തിൽ പുലിയാണ്. ആറ് അടി നാല് ഇഞ്ചാണ് പശുവിന്റെ ഉയരം. ബ്ലോസം ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും ഉയരമുള്ള പശുവാണെന്നാണ് ഗിന്നസ് ബുക്ക് ഓഫ് റെക്കോർഡ്സ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഓറഞ്ച്‌വില്ലയിലെ ഫാം ഉടമസ്ഥയായ പാറ്റി ഹാൻസണാണ് ഹോൾസ്റ്റീൻ ഫ്രീസിയൻ വംശത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ബ്ലോസത്തിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥ. മൃഗഡോക്ടർമാർ പശുവിന്റെ ഭാരം 2000 പൗണ്ട് (907 കിലോഗ്രാം) ആണെന്ന് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.  ആഗസ്റ്റ് മദ്ധ്യത്തോടെയാണ് ബ്ലോസത്തിന് ഗിന്നസ് റെക്കോർഡ് ലഭിച്ചതായുള്ള ഇമെയിൽ സന്ദേശം പാറ്റിയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ചത്. അടുത്തിടെ പാറ്റിയും ബ്ലോസമും ഒരുമിച്ച് ഫോട്ടോ ഷൂട്ടും നടത്തിയിരുന്നു. ബ്ലോസം പ്രത്യേകത നിറഞ്ഞ പശുവാണെന്ന് അവൻ കിടാവായിരുന്നപ്പോഴെ തനിക്ക് അറിയാമായിരുന്നെന്ന് പാറ്റി പറയുന്നു. ഈ പശുവിന് പ്രസവിക്കാനാവില്ലെന്ന് മനസ്സിലാക്കിയപ്പോൾ അതിനെ അറവുശാലയിൽ കൊടുക്കാതെ അരുമയായി വളർത്താനാണ് ഇവർ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്. തന്റെ ഫാമിന്റെ അഭിമാനമാണ് ബ്ലോസമെന്നാണ് പാറ്റി പറയുന്നത്. തന്റെ അതിഥികളെയെല്ലാം പശുവിനെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കാറുണ്ടെന്നും അവരെയെല്ലാം കാണുന്നത് ബ്ലോസത്തിന് വളരെ ഇഷ്ടമാണെന്നും അവർ പറഞ്ഞു. ബ്ലോസം വളരെ പ്രസിദ്ധയാണ്. സ്വന്തമായി അവൾക്ക് ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് പേജ് വരെയുണ്ട്.  ഈ ജൂലൈയിൽ പതിമൂന്ന് വയസ് തികഞ്ഞ തന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട പശുവിന്റെ കഥ കുട്ടികളുടെ പുസ്തകമാക്കണമെന്നും പാറ്റി ഹാൻസണിന് ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ട്. ഗിന്നസ് ബുക്ക് അനുസരിച്ച് ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ പശു ഫ്ലോറിഡയിലുള്ള ബ്ലേസ് ആണ്. വെറും രണ്ട് അടി 3.19 ഇഞ്ചാണ് ബ്ലേസിന്റെ നീളം.

In order to unify the submission and consolidate the reports, online submission system is hereby introduced. Field officers, including who have submitted their claims in hard copy to Dist. Office recently are kindly requested to submit their details below. No need of any hard copy submission to Dist. Office. Submit detailed reports including name of farmers to APO, RAIC, Aluva as hard copy.

ചെന്നൈ: ബക്രീദീനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ഭക്ഷണാവശ്യത്തിനായി ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെ കശാപ്പ് ചെയ്യരുതെന്ന് ആനിമല്‍ വെല്‍ഫെയര്‍ ബോര്‍ഡ് ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ (എഡബ്ല്യൂബിഐ). വലിയ പെരുന്നാളിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് തമിഴ്‌നാട് അടക്കമുള്ള സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ നിരവധി ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെ ബലിയറുക്കുന്ന സാഹചര്യത്തിലാണ് എഡബ്ല്യൂബിഐ ഇക്കാര്യം വ്യക്തമാക്കിയത്. ഫുഡ് സേഫ്റ്റി ആന്‍ഡ് സ്റ്റാന്റേര്‍ഡ്‌സ് അതോറിറ്റി ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പിന്തുണയോടെ എഡബ്ല്യൂബിഐ ഇക്കാര്യം സംബന്ധിച്ച് എല്ലാ സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാരുകള്‍ക്കും നിര്‍ദേശം നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അയല്‍ സംസ്ഥാനമായ ആന്ധ്രാ പ്രദേശില്‍ നിന്ന് തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലേക്ക് ബലി പെരുന്നാളിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് കശാപ്പ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി നിരവധി ഒട്ടകങ്ങളെയാണ് എത്തിക്കുന്നത്. കേന്ദ്ര വനം പരിസ്ഥിതി മന്ത്രാലയത്തിന് കീഴില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന എഡബ്ല്യൂബിഐ നിയമവിരുദ്ധമായി നടക്കുന്ന കശാപ്പുകള്‍ നിര്‍ത്താലാക്കുന്നതിന് മൃഗസുരക്ഷാ നിയമങ്ങള്‍ ശക്തമാക്കണമെന്നും സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാരുകളോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില്‍ നടക്കുന്ന നിയമവിരുദ്ധ കശാപ്പുശാലകള്‍ക്കെതിരെ ശക്തമായ നടപടികള്‍ സ്വീകരിക്കണം. അറവു മൃഗങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നിടത്ത് ഉടമകള്‍ വ്യാപകമായി നിയമം ലംഘിക്കുകയാണെന്നും ഇത്തരം നിയമലംഘനങ്ങള്‍ക്കെതിരെ ശക്തമായ നടപടികള്‍ കൈക്കൊള്ളണമെന്നും ബോര്‍ഡ് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.
